Best Rooftop Bars in Florence

Best Rooftop Bars in Florence 2024

Florence is a city with breathtaking views, and there’s no better way to enjoy them than from a rooftop bar. Here are some of the top best rooftop bars in Florence that you don’t want to miss.

VIEW ON ART ROOFTOP COCKTAIL BAR

If you’re looking for the best view of the Duomo, View on Art Rooftop Cocktail Bar is the place to be. Located at Hotel Medici, the outdoor rooftop terrace offers a spectacular view of the Duomo, which is the best of any place we visited in Florence. You can see people on top of the Campanile and the dome, and the lighting on the Duomo is perfect in the late afternoon and early evening .

The rooftop area is small, but the drinks are good, and the service is fast. However, the decor is very basic, and the rooftop bar can get busy during peak hours. Since the terrace is not huge and does not take reservations, try to be in good time during peak hours.

View on Art serves lunch, but since they get terrible ratings for their food, we recommend just having a drink while you are here. We spent about 30 minutes here, just enough time to have a drink and enjoy the view .

For a seat up against the railing, arrive by 5 pm. During our visit, a lot of people arrived right around 6 pm, and some had seats with less-than-ideal views of the Duomo.

Overall, we had a very good experience at View on Art Rooftop Cocktail Bar, simply because we thought the view was phenomenal. Come for a drink, enjoy the view, and have dinner afterward at a different restaurant or rooftop bar, where the service and quality of food are better .
